There are three main free zone areas which are Tecom, Jumeirah Lake Towers (JLT) (DMCC) and Jebel Ali Free Zone (JAFZA). In these free zones you can register a company with 100% ownership.

Everywhere else in Dubai, such as Tecom ‘C’, Sheikh Zayed Road, Business Bay & Dubai Marina would be considered as a ‘local’ trade license area. There are other areas which would fall under the ‘local’ license area but the ones mentioned are the main areas of interest. With a local trade license you would be required to involve an Emirati who would have share hold in your company. This is not to be of any concern but there would be further paperwork and agreements in place. Emirates Realty Commercial consultants will advise you on this further once they understand your requirements and business needs.

We at Emirates Realty Commercial are constantly in touch with the various government offices allowing us to keep up to date with any changes there may be and in turn our advice to you will always be kept up to date.
